Finance Team Lead

Job Responsibilities

This role is resposible for Handling high level accounting functions of foreign clients, managing a team as and when required and preparing reports on team performance.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox, ensuring invoices and supporting documents are received, categorized and tracked appropriately.

• Process and accurately enter supplier invoices into accounting systems for multiple client entities within agreed timelines.

• Validate invoice information and supporting documentation, identifying discrepancies, unusual transactions or missing information and escalating where necessary.

• Maintain invoice records, attachments and issue logs, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up of outstanding items.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and approvers to resolve invoice-related queries and support smooth invoice workflow management.

• Ensure compliance with AP procedures and service levels, processing invoices within required turnaround times while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

• Demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills while working as part of a team.

Person Specifications

✅ Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable.

• Previous experience in a Team Lead role for approximately 1 year is preferred.

• Experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.

• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Management or partly qualified or following CA / ACCA / CIMA / CMA / AAT is mandatory.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Strong MS Excel skills are required.

• Knowledge of Certinia (FinancialForce) is preferred.

• Experience with other accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Sage or Oracle will also be considered.

• Previous experience working with foreign clients is mandatory.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
