Job Responsibilities
This role is responsible for processing accounting transactions (Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger and Fixed assests) on SAP within the given SLAs and accuracy levels.
- Process financial transactions accurately within ERP systems.
- Gain exposure to Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Fixed Assets (FA) modules.
- Assist in periodic financial activities, including month-end and year-end closing tasks.
- Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve queries and maintain accurate records.
Person Specifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Accounting or Audit is preferred.
- GCE A/L qualification with a Finance background is Mandatory.
- Following a Finance/Accounting/Management degree or a professional qualification (CA / ACCA / CIMA / CMA / AAT, CPA) is preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and MS Excel are Mandatory.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) or accounting software is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English, with Sinhala/Tamil as an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and within a team environment.
