Team Lead - Accounts Payable

Team Lead - Finance & Accounting (Accounts Payable)

 

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Team Lead - Accounts Payable to join our finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of AP invoices, from verification to payment. You'll also play a key part in month-end closing tasks and collaborate closely with our Purchase Ledger and Finance teams to resolve any issues and ensure smooth financial operations.

 

Location: Orion City, Dematagoda.

Shift: 12.30 pm to 9.30 pm (UK Calendar)

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform invoice verification to ensure all details are accurate and properly authorized before payment.
  • Build strong internal relationships with the Purchase Ledger Manager, Cluster Financial Controllers, and Cluster Accountants.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.
  • Engage with management to resolve any Accounts Payable issues.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in an Accounts Payable role or a similar capacity.
  • Experience in processing UK payable transactions is preferred.
  • Good knowledge and experience with MS Excel and bookkeeping in Sage 200 & NetSuite is an added advantage.
  • Actively pursuing or have completed a relevant degree or professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CMA, AAT, or CA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a shift basis, from 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm, following the UK calendar.
