Team Lead - Financial Services

Management Accountant (Team Lead)

 

Join us as a Management Accountant and drive financial accuracy and insight. You will own the full month-end cycle, performing all critical monthly reconciliations and providing leadership with strategic data through comprehensive P&L reports and variance analysis. This is a highly visible role that requires building strong internal relationships and expertly liaising with clients to resolve issues and swiftly escalate complex AP/AR matters.

 

Location: Orion City, Dematagoda.

Shift: 12.30 pm to 9.30 pm (UK Calendar)

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare P&L reports and conduct variance analysis.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve routine day-to-day issues.
  • Assist the team with complex technical matters.
  • Escalate Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) issues to management promptly.
  • Build strong internal relationships with the Purchase Ledger Manager, Cluster Financial Controllers (FCs), and Cluster Accountants.

key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a Record-to-Report (R2R) role or similar capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage international stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Experience with NetSuite bookkeeping is considered a distinct advantage.
  • Actively pursuing or having completed a relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CMA, AAT, or CA).
  • Willingness to work a shift basis (12:30 pm to 9:30 pm), adhering to the UK public holiday calendar.
