Team Leader - Financial Services

Inchcape Mackinnon Mackenzie Shipping (Pvt) Ltd, is a joint venture between Inchcape Shipping services and John Keells Group. With 174 years of service to the international shipping industry and 240 offices in 60 countries, comprising a team of over 2,500 professional and committed staff, Inchcape is one of the largest maritime service providers in the world.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage SME Accounts Receivable activities, including collections, ageing analysis, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts within SAP.
  • Analyse bad debt exposures and prepare management reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer payment records through Bizcare.
  • Review and process Credit Corporate Approval requests.
  • Ensure compliance with finance controls and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve account discrepancies and credit-related matters.
  • Support month-end reporting and account reconciliation activities.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum 2 year of experience in Finance & Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Control, or related finance operations.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Partly or fully qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience in customer account reconciliations, payment follow-ups, ageing analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Sinhala and Tamil will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to work two half-day weekend shifts per month based on the roster.
