John Keells Logistics (Pvt) Ltd (JKLL), a fully owned subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, is a leading Integrated Logistics Services Provider with over 12 years of experience in operating and managing Multi User Logistics fulfillment centers, Diverse transport fleets, Temperature controlled logistics and Supply chain consultancy services spanning across multiple industry verticals.

 

This role aims at establishing and implementing general human resource functions of the company which operates as a 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) provider inside the Colombo Port. While Employee Relations being a key priority for this role, it is also expected to oversee and manage key HR functions that include talent & performance management, rewards & welfare, HR services, health & safety, people & culture. 
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifying talent requirement for ITV Operation and ensuring organizational readiness of supplying the right talent to cater the customer inside the Colombo port.
  • Acquiring, developing and engaging employees for the ITV Operation.
  • Driving people to build a new culture of health and safety within the organization and sustain.
  • Managing employee relations in a prudent manner that employees will not be resorted to trade union initiatives.
  • Ensuring cost effective and decent welfare for the employees.
  • Planning and implementing an effective employee rewards and recognition system.
  • Driving people productivity and enhancing organizational efficiency by adopting technology.
  • Ensure HR services are delivered in a digitalized environment at speed.
  • Ensure compliance with all group (JKH), sector and company policies and procedures, Sri Lanka accounting standards, industry requirements, statutory and regulatory requirements.

 

Person Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management / professional qualification in Human Resources Management (SHRM/CIPD/CIPM)
  • A master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Proven 2 – 3 years of experience as a manager role.
  • Hands on experience in employee relations, industrial relations (handling trade unions) 
  • Experience in port operations will be an added advantage
