Job Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of ITV operators for the shift.
- Recruitment & retention of ITV operators
- Implement employee welfare and wellbeing initiatives.
- Implement rewards and recognition initiatives.
- Strengthen employee relations on structured and continuous basis.
- Managing hire to retire process and payroll in the HRIS system
- Ensure HR compliance as per the labour regulations in Sri Lanka.
- Ensure administrative compliance inside the port premises.
- Train & develop employees to best suit both the company and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all group (JKH), sector and company policies and procedures, Sri Lanka accounting standards, industry requirements, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field / full or part professional qualification in Human Resources Management (SHRM/CIPD/CIPM)
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of OH&S regulations and practices, especially in cargo handling, heavy equipment operations, and logistics.
- Hands on experience in employee relations, industrial relations (handling trade unions), experience in port operations will be an added advantage.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
