Transport Executive - Fleet Management

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of top-tier transportation partners.
• Ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of transportation services, balancing customer requirements with operational feasibility.
• Spearhead the development and implementation of innovative sourcing strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and fulfillment capacity.
• Navigate the complexities of sourcing in a dynamic logistics environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Foster strong partnerships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transport integration.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle sourcing challenges effectively.
• Exhibit excellent leadership and communication abilities to influence and collaborate across teams.

Person Specifications

• Proven experience in transportation management within the logistics/3PL industry.
• A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to manage both internal teams and external transport providers.
• Familiarity with transportation software, fleet management tools, and digital logistics platforms.
• Vehicle maintenance knowledge/experience to ensure fleet safety, compliance, and reduced downtime (advantageous).
• A proactive, challenge-ready mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
