Executive – Finance (Accounts Payable)

The Job Role:

The selected candidate will be responsible for processing payments in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, service level requirements, and delegated authority limits while supporting the Accounts Payable function.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Process invoices within delegated authority limits while ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Perform necessary checks and verifications on vendor payments, agent incentives, employee payments, reimbursements, and claims before processing.
  • Process payments to vendors, agents, and employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors by addressing inquiries and resolving payment-related issues.
  • Review and process claim-related payments after completing the required checks and verifications within approved authority limits.
  • Reconcile accounts payable balances with vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, payment histories, and vendor spend analysis.
  • Support the Life Operations team by resolving queries related to premium reversals and premium mismatches, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes through automation and workflow enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable laws and regulations related to payment processing

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized university or institute, or part qualification in CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Minimum 2 years of overall experience within the insurance industry
  • Good understanding of Accounts Payable processes and payment operations
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and standard
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
