The Job Role:
The person will be responsible to effectively business partner and implement HR services, policies and programs for the Agency business with the objective of building a high-performing culture within the function to meet organizational needs.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all business partnering activities for the Agency function; to understand their people issues, identify solutions and resolve the issues.
- Continuously research and understand the market scape and trends to aid decision making of the agency business
- Highlight human resource related gaps in processes to the senior management and suggest actions/solutions to resolve them
- Lead the implementation of performance review process for Agency; guide managers and ensure adherence to timelines to facilitate building a high-performance culture
- Effectively implement the reward schemes and plan for Agency and collaborate with the COEs to resolve queries of employees and improve the rewards schemes
- Responsible to aid in the process of implementing succession planning for Agency; support in identifying critical positions for succession planning, identify the parameters and support in identifying the individuals for development
- Collaborate with respective COEs (Center of Excellence) around critical aspects such as strategic workforce planning, and organization structure implementation for Agency
- Ensure the correct operational structures are mapped in consultation with the Agency senior team
- Manage and mitigate employees’ grievances by ensuring supervisors and leaders are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of the same for Agency
- Consult the senior HRBPs on complex employee grievance issues to resolve them timely
- Deploy employee engagement initiatives across Agency and ensure tracking; work closely with the COEs to provide them feedback to further improve engagement scores
- Responsible to implement employee wellbeing initiatives and DEI initiatives for Agency; provide feedback to the COEs for more effective wellbeing and DEI initiative for Agency
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., consultants/vendors) for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining HR services and programs
- Mediate and resolve issues or objections and conduct objective investigations when necessary
- Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management and Agency, collaborate with the legal department when necessary
- Build/maintain relationship with assigned external HR stakeholders and manage related processes and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business Management/Administration or any related discipline from a recognized institute.
- Full/ Part qualification in recognized professional institute will be an added advantage
- Minimum 02 – 03 years of experience in Senior executive capacity with 8+ years of overall experience.
- Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge in overall HR processes, practices, and policies.
- Understanding of the entire spectrum of Talent Management, HR and Organization Development also sound knowledge in Labor regulations in Sri Lanka.
- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders, apply strong analytical thinking, and lead successful negotiations in complex situation.
