The Job Role:

 

The person will be responsible to draw on business analytics, data mining, data visualization, data tools, and best practices to help Union Assurance make more data-driven decisions.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Extract data-driven insights to arrive at better business decisions regarding policies, covers, premiums, and product risk management and business problems
  • Gather business intelligence from a variety of sources, including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources
  • Use business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential customers
  • Enable spotting trends to alert decision-makers to make better decisions about investments, premiums, and other aspects of their business
  • Identify markets for future product development and methods to improve sales of existing products by analyzing technology trends
  • Summarize financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Draw data and insights for issues faced at an organization wide level
  • Investigate and resolve BI related business issues that are raised by end users
  • Compile business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations
  • Collate data points and interact with the other teams to confirm the information while doing analysis
  • Assist with execution, implementation, and development of solutions for business intelligence components
  • Create a draft version of the data and suggest improvements
  • Assist in developing the reporting data model
  • Create reports using business intelligence and visualization software to improve business processes

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree specialized in Information Technology.
  • Full/ Part qualification in recognized professional institute will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the similar capacity.
  • Sound knowledge in analytics, Python/R, and hand on experience in data visualization and power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, deductive reasoning and should posses’ analytical skill as well.
  • Strong adaptability, work under pressure and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
