The Job Role:
The person will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the middle office activities through enforcement of procedures which are defined by the Investment Committee and the Regulator - IRCSL
Principle Accountabilities:
- Conduct investment middle office activities, including trade confirmation and reconciliation
- Ensure that investment operations follow regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Ensure recording all investments and dealings accurately in the system
- Ensure the records are processed and that all compliance documents are filled and completed
- Analyze investment portfolios, tracking their performance, and providing regular reports to senior management and provide recommendations for portfolio optimization and risk management
- Ensure that all trades are confirmed and settled correctly, within the agreed time frames.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with investment activities. Study financial instruments and the potential risks they pose
- Manage data related to investment activities. Maintain accurate records of investment transactions and portfolio positions, ensuring that the data is up to date and accurate
- Collaborate with front office team for any clarifications and data misalignments
- Monitoring daily cashflows and investment transactions
- Approving all the transactions entered into the Online Banking system based the investment decisions made by the committee
- Carrying out Sensitivity Analysis, Stress Testing & Scenario based analysis on the investments.
- Monitoring of mark to market gains and losses and reporting on breach of stop losses in trading securities
- Monitoring of liquidity position of all funds under the Company
- Pricing/valuation of all investment assets on a daily basis
- Independent calculation of Net Asset Value (NAV) of Unit Linked Fund
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree/MBA from a reputed university specializing in Finance or accounting.
- Minimum 03-04 Years in Assistant Manager, with 10+ years overall experience
- Full/part qualification in CA/ ACCA or CIM
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, coupled with solid knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to liaise with internal teams and the external parties.
- Strong strategic thinking and expertise in forecasting and market analysis
