Senior Application Support Engineer

The Job Role:

The person will be responsible for managing new product system configurations and enhancements for individual and group life businesses to support existing and future business strategies

Principle Accountabilities:

• Manage all administration aspects of the claim including collecting accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim to enable achievement of business goals
• Assist in the delivery of new products as per the product roadmap and maintain the product portfolio as per the pricing requirements within the limitations of IT policies and procedures and regulatory compliance 
• Support new product launches and modifications to power new product launches, modifications, and repricing as per the product roadmap
• Collaborate with the products, actuarial, and front-end platform teams to implement customer-centric solutions
• Carry out product repricing related configurations and provide the Product Calculation and Product Solutions System
• Assist in implementing core policy administration system changes, enhancements, and integrations
• Ensure the availability of core systems and effectively execute all business-related functions supported by IT without disruption
• Ensure delivery TAT to minimize technical, financial, reputational, and business risks
• Execute and adhere to regulatory compliance
• Execute the implementation of the collection process and drive digital payments
• Manage a central repository of all customer documents and digital communications and enable paperless office
• Execute the process required for IT procurement and draft product evaluations; conduct service selections; and prepare a tender as per the guidelines
• Implement contracts as per agreed service levels and payments
• Collaborate with various stakeholders and build relationships with vendors and third parties
• Seek guidance to implement department strategy and monitor their day-to-day deliverables

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree specializing in Information Technology, MBA will be considered as an added advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in Application Support, Business Systems, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Experience with eBao PAS data structures will be a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of the Insurance or Financial Services industry.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
