Zonal Manager – Bancassurance

The Job:

The person will be responsible to lead the zone-specific strategies for the respective bank partner, meet and exceed sales target to achieve the organization's long term business goals

 

Principal Accountability:

  • Develop a strategy for achieving the goals and sales targets aligned for the zone
  • Chalk out short-term and long action plans for the zone taking into consideration the objectives
  • Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan for zones to maximize revenue growth from the bank partner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the bank partner in the zone
  • Conduct visits to the bank partner from time to time and form a good partnership with them
  • Identify client needs, customer preferences in the zone and devise plans to monetize the same
  • Track the sales performance of the bank partner in the zone and different regions and product types; additionally devise plans based on the reports
  • In coloration with the Bank Partner Sr Associate, devise strategies to further penetrate the account and suggest new sales opportunities and opportunities to cross-sell and upsell
  • Responsible for establishing mechanisms to sell DTA and other alternate Bancassurance products by liaising with the bank partner
  • Track the performance of DTA and other alternate Bancassurance products within the zone
  • Ensure all deliverables and targets discussed at monthly meetings are achieved, considering that the customer satisfaction rate is meeting or exceeding the expectations
  • Present reports and presentations on the performance of the bank partner to the respective bank partner spec and Union Assurance senior team
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and is high, further ensure that customer complaints and customer service provisions are arranged and working as per expected levels
  • Provide inputs to the marketing spec on the marketing and promotional activities planned for the bank partner
  • Ensure the events and other marketing endeavors planned within the zone is carried out effectively
  • Take regular updates on the effectiveness of the marketing activities within the zone
  • Manage the sales team within the zone, including setting sales targets, tracking performance, providing coaching and training and motivating team members to achieve their goals
  • Recruit, develop and lead a high performing team by setting clear goals, expectations and foster a positive work environment
  • Ensure IROs receive the correct training and learning opportunities
  • Ensure that the sales team operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Minimum 03-04 Years in Assistant Manager, with 10+ years overall experience. Proven   experience in managing teams
  • Degree /Diploma from recognized university / institute, MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage
  • Full/ Part qualification in recognized professional institute will be an added advantage
  • Flair for sales with a positive attitude  
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance products and the insurance industry and familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of sales and marketing strategies and techniques
  • A highly ambitious, dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic personality
  • LIMRA – AMTC achieved candidate is preferred
  • Presentation skills/ negotiation skills/ Customer relationship management skills are essential
