The Job Role:

 

The person will be responsible to lead the zone-specific strategies for Union Assurance, meet and exceed sales target, penetrate untapped markets, to achieve the organization's long term business goals.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

 

  • Develop and implement zone specific strategies in discussion with the senior team.
  • Chalk out short-term and long action plans for the zone taking into consideration the objectives.
  • Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan for zones in order to maximize revenue growth and customer expansion.
  • Develop a robust GTM and market development plan for the zone and lead its execution
  • Devise market penetration strategy for the zone and ensure it is cascaded into the regions.
  • Devise plans to achieve the GWP and new business objectives, persistency and productivity.
  • Responsible for overall zonal recruitment and turnover, maintaining assigned active cadre within the regions
  • Responsible for ensuring target achievement (FP/FYP/renewals/GWP/persistency and etc. of the assigned regions).
  • Identifying areas of opportunity for business expansion across the zone and regions within the zone.
  • Maintaining healthy customer relations to achieve the desired sales target.
  • Monitoring the market trends and initiate necessary actions to achieve the business KPIs
  • Supporting the senior team to develop innovative ways to have branch activities to increase the customer penetration
  • Visiting branches on a regular basis to understand the on-the ground issues, areas of improvement and create plans to improve the working and productivity
  • Connecting with regional managers on a regular basis to understand their performance highlights, pain points, customer experience stories
  • Developing superior insight into competitors’ strategy, track market trends across the Zone and dovetail the same with consumer insights and trends to strengthen customer engagement and loyalty
  • Handling exceptional customer queries as per SLAs, policies & procedures.
  • Recommending new product lines & improvements including the untapped markets for the zones to senior management.
  • Preparing analytical dashboards with actionable insights and present to senior leadership.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and leverage that knowledge to resolve current issues and share insights to enable achievement of business goals
  • Managing team in terms of goal setting, delivery, performance, development, and engagement
  • Managing the branch operations as per the stipulated compliance and regulatory guidelines

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. MBA in General Management/Marketing or equaliant qualification.
  • Full/ part qualification in recognized professional institute will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience at the manager level, with a total of 12+ years of overall experience.
  • Proven experience in managing large sales teams in life insurance organization.
  • Flair for sales with detailed knowledge of products and sales systems & tools.
  • Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge of managing large zones.
  • Strong business acumen, exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong adaptability, work under pressure and capacity to work in fast-paced environment
