Job Responsibilities
• Manage the complete import process for spare parts shipments to Sri Lanka, staring from documentation handing to warehouse delivery.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange cost-effective and timely transportation of spare parts by Sea & Air or Courier.
• Proactively track the status of all inbound shipments, monitoring progress and resolving potential delays.
• Ensure strict adherence to all Sri Lankan customs regulations, import/export laws, and internal BYD logistics procedures for spare parts.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and complete import documentation, including Bill of Lading, Commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
Person Specifications
• NVQ Levels 04 and 05/ degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience within logistics and supply chain management.
• In-depth knowledge of and Logistics transportation regulations in Sri Lanka.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good working understanding of Sri Lanka Customs and freight forwarding.
